A Loving Spoonful's
Candygrams

This Valentine's Day say it like this.....

"You are like a Candy Bar , half sweet and half nuts!?!"

A Loving Spoonful teams up with Purdy's, Yelp and Shamin Jewellers to send happiness all across Canada this Valentine's Day raising much needed funds for men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS. Say it with a CandyGram!

Vancouver, BC - Valentine's Day is just around the corner and for the third delicious year, A Loving Spoonful is offering up the perfect gift for friends, family, lovers, and everyone in between.

"CandyGrams" are thoughtful and sweet or funny and sexy and include a special-edition Valentine's Day card, a message of your choice, two delicious Purdy's heart-shaped chocolates, a Yelpstick lip balm, mints in a stylish tin and a love bracelet (unisex) from Shamin Jewellers.

Senders can select a friendly, flirty or frisky message from 150 options (filed under Like, Love and Lust) and can include their name, or send it as an anonymous secret admirer. (New messages this year)

For mere $10, they can be sent anywhere in Canada.

"I'm sending out 10 myself, my favourite one is to my best friend.....it says....we'll be friends forever because you know too much?" says Lisa Martella, executive director of A Loving Spoonful. "Receiving a CandyGram brings a smile to everyone who receives one and also helps raise much needed funds to provide nutritious and free meals to those living with HIV/AIDS - it's truly a Valentine's Day gift that gives from the heart!"

Sponsors donate all the items included in the CandyGrams so proceeds from the sale of CandyGrams will go directly to assisting those with HIV/AIDS. A Loving Spoonful hopes to raise over $20,000.

A Loving Spoonful is the only organization in Metro Vancouver that delivers nutritionally planned and ready-made meals to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS. Each year they deliver over 100,000 meals to those in need, and with very little government funding, rely on the generosity of community and corporate partners alongside fundraising events or programs such as this campaign.

"The CandyGram campaign is possible because of the support received from Purdy's, Yelp and Shamin Jewellers" adds Martella. "Their willingness to jump right in has helped make CandyGrams an annual tradition, making a real impact on the lives of the people we help."

CandyGrams are limited and on sale now at www.candygram.ca , For on-time delivery (via Canada Post) by or before Valentine's Day orders must be placed by February 6 th for Eastern Canada, and February 8 th for Western Canada .
