We couldn't be more pleased. Dining Out had 13 new restaurants this year, including Ristretto and
Pho 533 as first-time participants who donated 100% of their sales to D.A.P.! said
Darrell L. Tucci, Chief Development Officer of Desert AIDS Project. There
were restaurants from Sam's Indian and Pizza in Joshua Tree to Vicky's
of Santa Fe in Indian Wells with lots of other choices in between,
including three new restaurants in Palm Desert alone. Some of
the participating businesses told us this was their best
day ever like Smoke Tree Barbecue and others,
like Chez Pierre , told us they had new diners there, specifically for Dining Out For Life.
The top three performers this year are once again Lulu California Bistro , Spencer's , and Trio
who are within just a few dollars of each other. Barbara and Jerry Keller , Harold Matzner, and
Tony Marchese and Mark Van Laanen continue to set the standard for Dining Out For Life, Tucci added.
This year, some of the restaurants like Alicante , Appetito Deli, Cello's, Cello's Pantry, Chez Pierre,
Copley's, Jake's, Jus Chillin, Rio Azul, Ristretto, Smokin' Burgers, Tropicale, and Zin American
Bistro helped D.A.P. promote the event by making short videos that were pushed out through
social media. If you missed them, check out the fun by viewing this short playlist.
D.A.P. would like to thank local Presenting Sponsor Bank of America and our local event sponsors Sysco,
Diageo, the City of Palm Springs, and Santa Monica Seafood for their generous sponsorships, as well
as sharing our gratitude for International Sponsor Subaru of America .
