Press Release

Dining Out For Life 2015 bigger than ever for Desert AIDS Project

50 participating restaurants and counting – Thursday, April 30

PALM SPRINGS, CA, March 17, 2015 - Dining Out For Life is that one day each year when supporting Desert AIDS Project is as simple as having breakfast, lunch, dinner, a snack, dessert, coffee, a cocktail, or all of the above (is your mouth watering yet?) at your favorite participating business.

In addition to many long-time Dining Out For Life supporters, 13 new partners have come aboard this year. Two of these newest, Pho 533 in the Smoke Tree Shopping Center and Ristretto at The Five Hundred at Palm Canyon and Ramon in Palm Springs, are giving a never-before 100% of their sales from Thursday, April 30 to client services at D.A.P.!

“We are hoping for a phenomenal year because the beyond-generous Harold Matzner and his Spencer's Restaurant are back for a fourth year at 75%. And Tony and Mark have brought back Trio, a perennially top-producer, and its sister restaurant The Purple Room – both again at 60%,” said Darrell L. Tucci, Chief Development Officer at Desert AIDS Project. “Our amazing friends at Lulu California Bistro -- #1 last year – and Zin American Bistro, who both do so much for us throughout the year, are also back at 50% in Dining Out For Life.”

This also marks the first year that Dining Out For Life includes a restaurant in the high desert – Sam's Pizza and Indian Restaurant in Joshua Tree, a family-owned business that uses only fresh ingredients and a few twists on the ordinary, like their Curry Sauce Pizzas.

To begin planning your dining extravaganza on Thursday, April 30, visit our website www.diningoutforlife.com/palmsprings to see if your favorite restaurant, coffee shop, bar or other business is participating in Dining Out For Life 2015. Some D.A.P. supporters tell us that they dine out for all three meals on the last Thursday in April – and often add in coffee and/or a cocktail for good measure – so that they can max-out their contribution to Desert AIDS Project!
