Bio-Alcamid Highlighted as Most Viable Permanent Treatment for Facial Lipoatrophy
June 2008: Bio-Alcamid's unique aptitude as a permanent solution to facial lipoatrophy was highlighted in the latest edition of The Positive Side.
The article entitled "About Face" reveals the social stigmatization that can go hand in hand with facial lipoatrophy and the unfortunate fact of its underestimation by some medical professionals. In addition to presenting Bio-Alcamid as the best solution for facial lipoatrophy, the article considers some of the mental health issues that affect those who suffer from the condition. Issues pertaining to treatment access for facial lipoatrophy are also discussed and the Face Forward Foundation is profiled for its success in faciliating treatment for persons with HIV-related lipoatrophy.
