CTAC at AIDS 2012
July 21, 2012 - The Canadian Treatment Access Council (CTAC) is one of
a few selected organizations to participate in the Global Village at the XIX International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012), which
will take place at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. from July 22 - 27, 2012.
The Global Village, open to conference delegates and the general public, aims to intensify the involvement of key
stakeholders in the conference and in the global response to AIDS. CTAC's selected activity will be a NGO exhibition booth,
where we will share with IAC participants our policy and advocacy activities on access to treatment issues in Canada.
Additionally, CTAC was one of only 280 Global Village activities accepted for inclusion in the AIDS 2012 programme
out of over 1,000 submissions. Examples of other activities at the Global Village include sessions, forums, oral
presentations, awards, networking zones, marketplace booths, art exhibits, film screenings and performing arts.

In 2012, CTAC entered a Renewal Process to strengthen the way we operate. As part of modernizing our organizational governance capacity and operations, we have

Le CCSAT à AIDS 2012
Le Conseil canadien de surveillance et d'accès aux traitements (CCSAT) est l'un des quelques organismes sélectionnés pour
participer au « Village global » à la 19ème Conférence internationale de lutte contre le sida (AIDS 2012),
qui aura lieu au Walter E. Washington Convention Center à Washington, D.C. du 22 au 27 juillet 2012.
Le Village global, ouvert aux délégués et au grand public, vise à intensifier l'implication des
acteurs-clés de la conférence et de la riposte mondiale au sida. L'activité sélectionnée
du CCSAT sera un stand d'exposition, où nous partagerons avec les participants de la conférence nos
politiques et nos activités d'information et de plaidoyer portant sur les enjeux d'accès aux
traitements au Canada. De plus, l'activité du CCSAT a été l'une de seulement 280
activités du Village global acceptées pour inclusion dans le programme d'AIDS 2012,
parmi plus de 1 000 soumissions. D'autres exemples d'activités au Village global
comprennent des sessions, des forums, des présentations orales, des remises de
prix, des zones de réseautage, des stands de marché, des expositions
d'art, des projections de film et des arts de la scène.
