ORIGAMI CONDOMS Announces the First ORAL Sex Condom.

03 June 2013 - Actor Michael Douglas's reveled today that he developed his throat cancer related to having oral sex in the past. The timing of his announcement occurs on the same day that ORIGAMI Condoms, of Los Angeles, CA, announces its introduction of the Oral Condom (OC), the first condom ever designed and tested for oral sex protection. No condom has ever been proposed for oral sex use, one of the most widely experienced types of sexual behaviors among men and women.

Health officials have said that drinking alcohol and smoking are considered the primary causes of oral cancer. Human papillomavirus has recently been associated with one kind of throat cancer, although it is more commonly identified with cervical cancer.

Some consumers have used latex dental dams as an alternative, off-label use for oral sex protection, which is not an FDA reviewed or approved use. Consumers who have used the dental dam have common complaints that include the distasteful odor and flavor of latex, and the size of a standard dental dam, which is not suited for oral sex activity and unlikely to provide adequate protection for either partner.

A near universal dissatisfaction with rolled latex condoms has marked the history of condom use since they were introduced around 1918, shortly before the Wright Brothers flew their first airplane. The male condom has not had any significant structural design change while the airplane has evolved into the Mars landing.

The first oral sex condom by ORIGAMI is one of its new, anatomy-specific, ORIGAMI Condom types. It is planned to begin its clinical trials in the spring of 2014. The unique device is a major advancement by the company and it is intended to provide one of several pleasure oriented condom alternatives to meet consumers' needs and personal preferences.

The company's founder, Danny Resnic, said, "the new types of condoms are expected to reach the market following regulatory reviews by the WHO, the FDA and the CE-Mark (EU), sometime in mid- 2015". The inventor, Danny Resnic, recently appeared on CBS, 'THE DOCTORS', http://www.thedoctorstv.com/videolib/init/9183 to discuss the ORIGAMI Condom technology and its innovative philosophy to reinvent the condom.

Although this is a sorely needed product, the company's design and PR staff has had no shortage of puns to keep themselves enthused and amused during the late night hours of preliminary design concepts; 'I have a cool idea but it's kind of tongue in cheek', 'Come on team, I don't just want lip service', and 'that one sucks'. At times the office sounded like the roundtable for an SNL rehearsal just short of having Tina Fey or Seth Meyers in the room.
