RED: A celebration of colour, couture, community, and caring

The theme for this year's RED is
"A Positive Day!"

Saturday February 20 - Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver BC

February 2016 - Positive Living BC has created many events over the years, from AccolAIDS to the Scotiabank AIDS WALK for LIFE—educating, inspiring and fundraising to benefit our members living with HIV. This year a brand new event like nothing we’ve ever done before is about to unfold.

Join us for
RED… A Positive Day!

We’re excited to invite you to our new fashion fundraiser, RED: A Celebration of Colour, Couture, Community and Caring! Join us on Feb. 20 as an all-star cast of Vancouver’s finest creative talent unite in a fabulous runway show to support people living with HIV.

RED takes guests on a 90-minute theatrical journey through the lives of people living with HIV in a celebration of colour, couture, community and caring. Funds raised at RED will go to specific programs at Positive Living BC that help support different populations within our membership, including men, indigenous peoples, and women. I hope to see you there at the Commodore Ballroom on February 20th! Tickets and tables are available here.

“Twenty years ago, people were dying from AIDS… we lost many of the most artistic, creative, passionate people in our community,” said the show’s producer, Dean Thullner. For Thullner, the event is a dramatic homage to them, as well as “a reminder that all of us are still needed and affected in this cause,” says Thullner. “As a gay man living with HIV I’ve had a lot of support dealing with my illness from my community and this is an opportunity for Vancouver’s finest creative community to pay some of that forward and remind people struggling with HIV that we are still a community that cares and understands the need for support!”
