Beyond Belief, a captivating story about living with HIV/AIDS, opens in New York City June 22, 2012.

Beyond Belief is a brand new stage production about the life of Daniel Bauer, the successor to Harry Houdini, and his personal experiences living with HIV/AIDS. Previews are June 22-23 at CAP21 located at 18 W. 18th Street, 5th Floor, New York City.

PRLog (Press Release) - May 13, 2012 - Daniel Bauer, the successor to the legendary Harry Houdini is living with HIV / AIDS. His high flying career collapsed back in 2002 when corporate sponsors learned he is HIV positive. Bauer returns to the stage with an emotionally thrilling, humorous and suspenseful show, Beyond Belief, that uniquely presents a collection of short stories about loss, survival and triumph, told through the arts of magic and escape. Defying the odds of stigma, family struggles, addiction, suicide attempts, HIV treatment adherence and much more, "Daniel Bauer is triumphant over unimaginable fears." says Robert Breining, Founder and host of Poz I Am Radio. "I am liberated and feel truly free now that I have found the courage to share a story like so many others in hopes of reshaping how so many others look at people like me living with HIV / AIDS," says Bauer.

Beyond Belief goes into previews at the CAP21 performance space located at 18 W. 18th Street, 5th Floor, New York City on June 22 at 8pm and June 23 at 4 pm and 8pm. Tickets for the show are $20 when purchased in advance and $25 when purchased at the door. Performances are 90 minutes with no intermission. Beyond Belief recently debuted at the National Healthy Living Summit in Dallas, TX, presented by the National Association of People with AIDS (NAPWA), at the American Airlines Auditorium. "I connected with Daniel on so many levels. Beyond Belief is an experience of a life time. A must see!", says Michelle Anderson, Ms. Plus America 2011, and Kevin Maloney of Rise Up to HIV says, "I cried, I laughed . . . such an inspiration. Beyond Belief is 5 thumbs up!!"

Beyond Belief engages audience members on a journey about life. Every audience member can expect to feel the magic of life while experiencing the jaw-dropping awe of pure magic and a dangerous escape all performed without the use of overzealous props, smoke and mirrors that many magicians who take stage rely on to captivate their audiences.

Bauer is pleased to welcome special guest stage assistant Jeromy Dunn, from Charlotte, NC. Jeromy is co-host of the internationally regarded online radio show, Poz I Am Radio and is also a highly regarded motivational speaker and HIV Activist.

Daniel Bauer has been practicing and performing the arts of magic and escape since he was eight years old. He has performed to sold out venues around the world and has also appeared on television networks including Fox's Good Day New York and the WB Morning Show. Daniel Bauer, is highly revered by his fans around the world as the successor to the legendary Harry Houdini. In 2002, Bauer was diagnosed with HIV and this diagnosis became the back-bone excuse for a corporate sponsor to pull out from supporting his career. Today, Bauer speaks out loud about living with HIV/AIDS. He is the founder of http://www.livingpozitively.com and continues to present motivational speaking programs and performances at high schools, organizations and conferences around the nation. Bauer is slated as a marquee performer at the upcoming International AIDS Conference, AIDS 2012 Reunion Program this July. "I am truly humbled to have found comfort in my own skin. I simply hope that my courage to speak out loud and return to the stage to live my dreams inspires others living with HIV / AIDS to never give up on their dreams.
