9 July 2020 - COVID-19 Conference, hosted by IAS, to feature Deborah Birx, Anthony Fauci, Bill Gates, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Jane Goodall, Salim Abdool Karim among others
Important advances in COVID-19 research, including promising data on new treatments, were announced today ahead of the virtual COVID-19 Conference, the world’s first abstract-driven scientific meeting dedicated to the global pandemic.
Hosted by IAS - International AIDS Society, the COVID-19 Conference will take place on 10 July (extending into July 11 in some time zones), following the 23rd International AIDS Conference, also known as AIDS 2020: Virtual.

7 July 2020- New data provides insights with potential real-world implications for people living with HIV – including a promising long-acting injectable HIV prevention drug
Leading HIV researchers announced important new developments in HIV research at the 23rd International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2020: Virtual) today. This includes what may be the first report of an adult with HIV to achieve long-term HIV remission without the need for a bone marrow transplant and new data showing that long-acting injectable cabotegravir is superior to daily oral Truvada for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).

6 July 2020- New UNAIDS global HIV estimates, evidence of HIV service disruption and impact on LGBTI+ people due to COVID-19 presented at 23rd International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2020: Virtual)
The first-ever virtual edition of the world’s largest conference on HIV began today with a focus on the links between HIV and the COVID-19 pandemic and recognition of global debates around racism. Delegates from 175 countries are attending the conference, originally set to take place in Oakland and San Francisco, US.

AIDS 2020 plenary line-up announced
24 February 2020 (Geneva, Switzerland) - The International AIDS Society (IAS) has announced the plenary presentations headlining the 23rd International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2020), which will take place in San Francisco and Oakland, United States, on 6-10 July 2020. AIDS 2020 is the world’s largest conference on HIV and AIDS and is expected to bring together 20,000 participants from more than 170 countries.
