Gregory Fowler is a longtime HIV survivor, writer, community journalist, and mountaineer living in Portland, Oregon. Diagnosed with HIV in 1988 and AIDS in 1993, he spent more than fifteen years reporting on HIV science and the people affected by the epidemic. His memoir bears witness to those who were lost while examining what it means to remain.
